Do you knit, crochet, or weave? Have you ever wondered how yarn is made? Do you ever struggle to find just the right yarn in just the right color? Do you ever wonder what goes into your yarn? If there might be harmful or irritating chemicals? Have you ever bought a skein of wool, seen it was made in China, then gotten into a conversation with your family about if they even have sheep in China?

If you answered yes to any of the questions, why not learn how to spin yarn? I’ll walk you through the process of washing and introduce you to all the other aspects, offering resources along the way. It can be very difficult to get started, but with guidance, you will soon be able to make your own yarn!

I don’t have time for all that but glad some people do. Thanks for sharing at Wildcrafting Wed.

I don’t have much time for it, either! It’s a lot of work. I really admire the people who can do it on a regular basis. I usually just buy my yarn, looking for environmentally sound options. But in the end spinning is very rewarding. Thanks for stopping by!
