Elimination Diet, Day 21

I may receive a commission if you purchase something mentioned in this post. See more details here.

Nothing like cooking to keep your mind off the job interview you have. It went well, though. I have a drug test tomorrow and when they get the results of that, I get to go in for orientation!

Detox and Exercise
Oil Pulled
Nettle and Rose Hips Tea
Summer Goals

Health
Arms are still irritated in the elbows, but looking better than yesterday.

I have just been feeling off today. Some of it may be, but most of my yuck lately I’m pretty sure is not food related. My hormones need to get themselves figured out.

Food
Breakfast: Quinoa with Blueberry Syrup
Lunch: Black Bean and Yam Stew with a probiotic spinach salad. I left out the chili pepper and replaced the red pepper with 2 cups frozen green beans. Not a flavor replacement, but it adds color and nutrients.
Dinner: Roast Chicken with leftover Fried Rice/Quinoa Pilaf
Snacks: Nuts, an apple, ice cream

Preparation
Made a bone broth from the chicken carcass and made up vegan and elimination diet-safe cream of mushroom soup using chickpeas. I replaced the soy sauce with a pinch of salt and added garlic. I will use it in a hot dish tomorrow and freeze the rest.

Loved your menu. I’ve posted about broth and mushrooms, too – even mushroom soup! Here’s one of these links, if you’re interested 🙂 http://cookupastory.wordpress.com/2013/05/07/cinderella-soup-stock-becomes-a-princess/
