Elimination Diet, Day 8

I may receive a commission if you purchase something mentioned in this post. See more details here.

Today’s cooking lesson was to make sure the stove is on medium heat when you are cooking with olive oil. I knew this was important, and I’ve been doing it all week, but today I forgot and had the stove on high. There was burning and smoke alarms.

Detox and Exercise
Oil Pull
Nettle and Rose Hips Tea
Karate

Health
My arms were flaky today, upper arms as well as elbows. They were itchy, too. My legs are doing okay, but the skin is nowhere near healed yet. Then I scratched in the evening. I really hope I’m not having a flare. Things seem okay for now.

My stomach was a little upset after eating the burnt sunflower seed patty (a few hours before the rest of dinner, so I know it was that). It could be the burnt, or it could be the sunflower seeds, as this is not the first time my stomach has made noise after eating sunflower seeds. I’ll leave them out for a bit just to be safe.

Food
Breakfast: Sweet Potato Waffles (made with flaxseed instead of egg) and Blueberry Syrup – The waffles were very good, but we couldn’t get them to cook properly and eventually gave up. I don’t know what we would have to do to fix that, maybe try again with real eggs. The syrup was also quite good, but it didn’t compliment the waffles. Would be better on something unseasoned.
Lunch: Leftover Quinoa and Cabbage soup, fermented vegetables, a carrot.
Dinner: Leftover sunflower seed burgers, leftover hash, and broccoli.

Preparation
I took the leftover Cauliflower Fritters out of the freezer to eat for breakfast tomorrow. I also made up some pesto for my lunch tomorrow.

In preparation for my travel this weekend, I made up some things to eat. I made a salad dressing with lemon so I can test that as well as a soup. A few more things tomorrow, but I will mostly be eating leftovers. I started soaking pumpkin seeds before I went to bed.
