Health
My skin is looking and feeling much better today. It still has healing to do, but I have hope that it is getting there. My face is looking very good acne-wise, too. A big part of that may be that the stress of finals is over, but I’m sure my new, healthier diet is playing a role. It certainly can’t hurt that I’m not eating Goldfish and pizza whenever Will decides to make some.

I’ve been tired today, but I also got woken up extremely early by the dogs. My right hip and knee has been aching for a few days. Related to my lack of hard exercise and protein? My stomach was a little off in the evening, too.

Food
Breakfast: Cauliflower Fritters – I replaced the eggs with 3 tbsp ground flaxseed and 9 tbsp water. These took awhile to be able to cook. Had to get Will, the experienced chef, to figure them out. We eventually learned that they needed to be cooked on high heat. It also helped to scramble them a bit in the pan before patting them down into a fritter. Maybe would try pureeing the mixture next time. They didn’t hold together very well, but still taste quite good.
Lunch: Leftover carrot soup and vegetables, including fermented vegetables.
Dinner: Leftover dal and fermented vegetables.
Snacks: I made a sort of “kitchen sink” smoothie last night. A pear, the rest of our blueberries and kale, a few cabbage leaves, and some beet greens. I drank this throughout the day.

Preparation
I don’t have any preparation needed (although a few things, like soaking and cooking up some quinoa, could have been done). However, having used up so much of food already, tonight I went through my recipes for the next several days and made up a shopping list for tomorrow.
