I like didn’t eat anything today. I don’t know if my stomach was as sick of smoothie as I am, but I just wasn’t super hungry. It probably helped that I kept busy: looked for a job (no dice), went wedding dress shopping (found The Dress for 70% off!), and made a lot of food. I get to eat that lot of food tomorrow. Last night Will ate a piece of salami in front of me and today he ate eggs and bacon in front of me, then asked me to grate some cheese for him. At least he’s apologetic about being a jerk.
Detox and Exercise
Drank a few cups of Yogi Detox Tea, only using one bag over the 2 cups. Forgot to oil pull. Oops. I didn’t want to do anything strenuous since my calorie and protein consumption are pretty low. I walked a lot though.
Health
Eczema is the same. Elbows and shins are bad, thighs are okay, arms are pretty good. I shaved this morning, so I’m feeling it in my armpits as well. Energy is neutral.
I’ve had the hiccups on and off for the past two days. Fairly certain it is related to the smoothies. Whatever it is it’s obnoxious. I didn’t get them while drinking the blueberry cucumber smoothie, though, so maybe it has something to do with how I swallow the thick smoothies.
Food
Finished the batch of Winter Green Smoothie from yesterday.
1/2 batch Blueberry Cucumber Smoothie – Oh my goodness, this was awesome. Beautiful texture, tasted very light and refreshing. Left the peels on the cucumbers. I wish I had enough blueberries to make more.
Most of a Peach Mint Smoothie (no ginger or cucumber, cabbage instead of bok choy) – quite good!
Preparation
Today I made Gingered Carrot Soup. The recipe made 10 cups of soup, so I put four cups in a Tupperware container for tomorrow, then froze the rest in 2 cup portions. I made spinach chips, which was an interesting experience. I also soaked some quinoa for 2 hours, then cooked it in preparation for breakfast tomorrow, as well as chopping the apples for the sauce I will put over the quinoa. I’ve never done much cooking before, so today was quite the learning experience for me. I enjoyed it, but it was a lot of work and I made a huge mess. I can only improve, though.
